    We need to board American Airlines flight 1219 to New York (LGA) at 12:15 a.m. and you will land at approximately 2:55 a.m. There will be a layover in New York for about 3 hours, then board American Airlines flight 3005 to Toronto (YYZ) at 6 a.m. You will arrive in Toronto at about 7:40 a.m.
  • (2) Taxi Drive to Hotel

    Hotel check-in at 8:30 a.m. From the airport, the hotel is about 10 minutes away (11.5km.) You will take a taxi and it will cost around $7.

This skating rink is outdoors which emphasizes their CULTURAL ECOLOGY. Their common outdoor activites mirror their CULTURE. Because of th cold climate and abundant amounts of snow, Canadians involve themselves in hockey, skiing, skating, snowboarding, and many other cold outdoor sports which shows their ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINISM.

    You will be departing at 6:25 a.m. on flight 651 on Alitalia Airlines. You will be sleeping on the plane. There will be a 1 hour 35 minute layover in Rome at 3:15 p.m. Then you will take flight 718 on Altitalia airlines at 4:50 p.m. to Athens and you will arrive at 6:55 p.m.

    The entrance fee to the play is $25 per person. The play starts at 8 p.m. It is called "The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza." It has to to do with the ancient greek RELIGION that believes in the ancient greek gods and godesses. It is a POLYTHEISTIC religion meaning they believe in many gods. The events in the play act out many ancient FOLKTALES such as Pandora’s Box and the Iliad.

It arose from local FOLKLORE that says eating radishes on the 9th day of the lunar year prevents disease. As the idea spread through CONTAGIOUS DIFFUSION, radishes and dumplings became the main STAPLE and the Radish and Rice Dumpling festival was born.

    The boat will pick the team up at the hotel at 6 a.m. The trip will last 8 hours on the Nile River. We will be riding on a Felucca, an ancient Egyptian boat used for fishing and sailing. In Ancient Egypt, fish were fed daily to those on the lower end of the CASTE SYSTEM. The Egyptian's HUMAN-ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION was very important. The Nile River was one of their main sources of transportation, especially for trade. It helped develop some of the unique Ancient Egyptian CULTURAL TRAITS.

    The team will hike to the base of the waterfall and join in a religious ceremony. In Haiti, the two main religions, or beliefs, are Catholicism and Voodooism. The ancient falls of Saut-d'Eau are a SACRED SIGHT for the voodoo practitioners in Haiti and also for small tribes such as the Iwa Damballah. And in July, many people embark on an important PILGRIMAGE to these falls. Voodooism originated from the TRIBAL RELIGIONS of West Africa. Voodism is a very important aspect of Haitian culture.
