The Soviets were secretly building missiles in Cuba. We discovered this with our U.S spy plane, to us this was a threat. We then demanded a removal of their missiles. We then blockade Cuba to prevent the Soviets from installing the Missiles. There then was a threat of nuclear war and the Soviets then agreed to remove their firepower.
