This was when hitter tried to split the allies army in half with a surprise blitzkreig in his most desperate and costly attempt at keeping them at bay

This was when America attacked the island of Iwo Jima so that they could have a place to land b-29 bombers somewhere closer to Japan.

This was when Japan defended Okinawa with everything they had from America. This was also the bloodiest battle they had.

This was when the allies won in Europe and Germany surrendered. World war 2 was now over in Europe.

This was when America dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan because Japan wouldn't surrender and an invasion would lead to too many causalities.The atomic bombs killed 120,000 people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
