Approximately 1 million chinese citizens had fallen under the control of Japan as well as the major cities of China within a five month span. The japanese invaded China because Japan claimed that they were being fired by chinese troops near Beijing. The aftermath led to the chinese reclaiming land due to japan focusing on other enemies. This led to reconquering lands in China.

The Chinese had tried to retreat but were attacked by the Japanese instantly. The Japanese invaded China's capital, Nanking, because they wanted to take revenge on the Chinese for disrupting their plan to conquer all of China in three months. In the end, many families were traumatized because of the sexual abuse and were forced to dig their own grave and die.

More than 2,000 tanks and 1,000 planes broke through the Polish border and advanced into Warsaw. Germany invaded Poland because of the German-Soviet pact made between Russia and Germany. This led to Germany invading without fear of the Soviet's wrath. The impact of this event led to the fall of Poland as well as Britain and France declaring war on Germany.

    Germans had bombed Holland on May 10th, their troops were being dropped through the airfield to attack the Netherlands. Because this was a surprise attack, it was very easy for Germans to conquer Waalhaven and later Holland.The Germans attacked the Netherlands because Germans wanted to claim Waalhaven which was south of Rotterdam. The impact of this invasion led to 30,000 casualties.

    In Operation Barbarossa, Germans invaded the Soviets using 3,000 tanks to smash the frontier of the Soviets territory. The invasion occupied the North Cape to the Black Sea which was about 2,000 miles.The Germans invaded the Soviets because they wanted to control the Slavic population as well as exterminate the Jews. Even though the attack was a surprise, the soviets held on to the battles which led to the Germans to surrender and both faced many casualties.

    During Pearl Harbor many Japanese fighter planes attacked the Americans naval base located in Hawaii. The Japanese managed to destroy 20 American naval vessels and 200 airplanes. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor because America did not approve of Japan's expansion. In the end, about 2,500 men were killed and 1,000 were wounded.

In order for the final solution to be executed, the Nazi's devised a plan to emigrate all Jews and create an emigration tax. The Nazi wanted to exterminate all Jews because it was Hitler's dreams for all Jews to be destroyed.     The Bataan Death march was when the American troops gave up the Bataan Peninsula to the Japanese and the prisoners of the Filipinos and the Americans were forced to walk a 63-mile march to the prison camps. The goal of the march was to capture the prisoners walking from the Bataan Peninsula to the camp in the north. Many prisoners suffered from the harsh conditions and suffered deaths once they arrived atr the prison camps.

A battle quickly formed in in the air and Japanese fighters attacked the American torpedoed bomber instantly killing them. The Battle of Midway occurred because the Americans did not want the Japanese to claim Midway as their own since the Midway was a US territory. In the end, many aircraft and ships were destroyed and countless numbers of fighters on both sides were killed.

It was a surprise invasion but the Soviets held a strong defense of the city making the Germans surrender. The Germans invaded Stalingrad because it could have helped with their campaign in Russia and they could launch further assaults in Caucasus. In the end, the Germans surrendered and they lost many of their soldiers in the midst of the battle and did not gain Stalingrad.

    In Operation Gomorrah, the British aircraft dropped 2,300 tons of bombs on Hamburg within a few hours. The British dropped bombs on Hamburg because the British believed that bombing Hamburg would in turn bring Germans to call for peace. The Germans almost did call for peace due to the city being severe devastated by the raid created by the British. In the end, more than 1,500 Germans civilians were killed and 12 British aircraft was lost.

    In D-day (Normandy Invasion), Americans, British, and Canadian forces landed on 5 beaches that stretched along a 50-mile of the France's Normandy region. They also secured the bridges as well as the exit roads. The purpose of the invasion of Normandy was to mislead German troops about the intended invasion's goal. At the end of the invasion, 4,000 allied troops died and several more troops were injured.

They freed more of the camps after World War II like Auschwitz and the British, Americans and Canadian freed Buchenwald as well as Dachau. The liberation of camps occurred because soldiers had seen prisoners starved and exhausted from lack of food and crucial labor during World War II thus freeing them after the war. The camps killed millions.

    In the Battle of the Bulge, the Germans penetrated into eastern Belgium by using German tanks and by breaking into the thinly held American lines. The US retaliated and slowed down German advances. The purpose of the Germans advancing into Belgium was so they can split the British and the US forces in northern France. In the end, Germans suffered more than 100,000 casualties and the Americans about 81,000 people.

The operation did devastate many cities.

In the end, America had taken victory but thousands of men died when battling on the island.

    In the Battle of Okinawa, 287,000 American troops fought against 130,000 Japanese soldiers. Japan had used a new war tactic known as "kamikaze" or suicide missions. This led to massive deaths between civilians and soldiers. The purpose of the Battle of Okinawa was to destroy Japan's merchant fleet and bomb Japan's heartland. In the end, Japan lost 77,000 soldiers and the Allies lost more than 10,000 soldiers.

The purpose of German troops surrendering was because of Soviet's aggression. In the end, Russia had taken 2 million prisoners after Germany surrenders.

Three days later, a second bomb was dropped over the city Nagasaki in Japan. The purpose of these bombs was to save American lives and to show the Soviets of their new deadly weapon. In the end, Japan surrendered to the Americans because of all the citizens that were killed.

Japan signed the treaty and surrendered. The purpose of VJ Day was to maintain peace between the countries and prevent further loss of lands and citizens/soldiers. This made an impact by ending ww2.
