Winston Churchill begins plans for the ‘Seizure of the Gallipoli Peninsula
In late November 1914 at a meeting of the British War Council, Winston Churchill raised the idea of an attack on the Gallipoli Peninsula. the council was led by Prime Minister Herbert Asquith, Secretary of War Lord Kitchener, and Churchill deemed the plan too risky. Later the idea was reconsidered. -

ANZACs began arriving on Lemnos
3,200 ANZACs started to arrive on Lemons, on the 4th of March 1915. Lemons is about 60km from the Gallipoli peninsula. this happened during the nine-month campaign. More than 50,000 ANZACs as well as thousands of allied forces, passed through Lemnos. -
Ships in Lemnos began to prepare for invasion of Turkey
on the 20th of April 1915 more than 200 ships were assembled. these ships were assembled in the harbor at Mudros, Lemnos for preparation to invade Turkey. -
The Gallipoli Landing
The ANZACs landed at Gallipoli on the 25th of April 1915. There were 16000 Australians and New Zealanders when they first arrived at what is now called ANZAC Cove but by that evening 2000 of them were killed. -

The ANZACs were trying to take and hold the Turkish line. The Battle of Lone Pine ended on the 10th of target 1915. -
