    Source In July 7, 1937, conflicts broke out between Japan & China when Japan wanted to be #1 in Asia and wanted to expand their land. But, Japan needed more resources economically. So they invaded Manchuria to get the necessary resources. These events triggered causes of next world war.

    On this day, 1.5 million German troops invade Poland. Hitler's purpose for invading Poland was to acquire "living space" for German people. He signed a treaty so that the Soviet Union would help divide Poland. However, Poland had an agreement with Great Britain in which they would be provided with troops if they were to be attakcked. 2 days later, war was declared.

    On this day, Japenese planes attacked the American naval base in Honolulu. The attacks destroyed 20 naval vessels and resulted in 3000 casualties. The US then declared war on Japan. Japan's allies followed in and declared war on the US.
