    The Japanese invaded and committed many atrocities to the Chinese people. Nanjing was one of the places that took the worst that the Japanese could dish out. This was one of the many things Japan did to China, and led up to Japan's attacks on the Allies' territories in the early stage of the war. HISTORY

    Stalingrad

    Many considered the Battle of Stalingrad was the turning point in Europe. Early on in the six month siege, Germany was easily holding back the USSR , but they didn't have any protections from the elements when winter set in. In the winter the USSR sent in specially trained winter troops to destroy the Germans. When the Germans surrendered the German people were told that they all died.

    The U.S. reached the home islands of Japan and started the attacks with Iwo Jima. The battle was one of the bloodiest in the Pacific. The U.S. defeated Japanese forces and it spelled the beginning of the end for Japan in World War Two HISTORY

    The battle of Okinawa, like Iwo Jima, was extremely brutal, and was a U.S. victory. Before the U.S. got there, the Japanese had destroyed all of the planes it had on the island. It was the last major campaign in the war. HISTORY
