    Militarism is when the government believes in the principle of maintaining a large military establishment and to be prepared for anything unexpected. Propaganda was used to make stronger and bigger militarizes all around the world. The United States as well as other countries grew in size.

    Imperialism is extending a country's power through diplomacy, in other words a nation which has tons of power and uses this to their advantage to control smaller countries. One example is our very own, the USA. We are a very powerful country which picked on smaller countries and islands like Puerto Rico and Cuba. This was also a benefit because we received resources that we ourselves couldn't obtain.

    World War I, although started with only two countries fighting at first later on expanded to almost the entire world. Countries started pairing up and forming alliances to become stronger and win the war. The first alliance was The Triple Entente which included Britain, France, and Russia. The second alliance was The Triple Alliance which included Germany, Austria Hungary, and Italy.

    Nationalism is a patriotic feeling. During the war each country had their way to express Nationalism. One of these examples was when Austria Hungary was driven from the Balkans in order to form a 'greater Serbia'.
