    Japanese Invasion of China
    At the Marco Polo bridge the japanese soldiers said that they were shit at by the Chinese and used that as an excuse to pledge a war agianst China. Japan went through China quickly and brutally By the end of 1937 they had all the major cities captured. Japan was stopped at a point but their wasnt any important land to own anyway. After a while their were to many Chinese and the Americans began to help the Chinese through the Burma road.

    Germany Invades Poland
    By invading Poland Germany knows that Britain and France will join. Germany is intentionally creating tension between all the countries and starts the second world war. The invasion of Poland was to quick to let the Britain and France to mobilize which was the German plan.

    When Germany invaded poland their tactic for "lightning war" began. The German tactic was to attack the lands they wanted to control quickly so the troops could not respond. Germany's blitzkrieg worked reletively well except for the fact the countries Hitler tried to invade had strong will-power so they dragged out Germany's attacks.

    Before German soldiers came to the city of Paris 2 million parisians already fled. When Germany arrived to Paris they were unapposed but in the Western side some Canadian troops tried after Paris already fell. America did not help France for awhile until they joined the war themselves.

    Opeeration Barbarossa is when Germany went into Russia. The German military was at its finest and strongest. The Germans swept through Russia. Once again the Russian people were to tough and delayed the German attacks. The Russian's being able to stall Germany made them fight a 2 front war. The Germans did not have the supplies to fight on both fronts.

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was against the United States from the Japanese. Pearl Harbor is an American naval base in Hawaii. Japan's attack on America is one of the reasons America joined the war. Japan and America were having problems but neither country acted until that day. America was not expecting the attack.

    The Wansee Conference is when the German officials gathered to discuss "the jewish problem". Their "final solution" was the gas chamber. The gas chamber kept the German soldiers conscious' in tact and healthy for battle. The other thing that helped the German soldiers is they could kill more Jewish or other people in concentration camps faster.

    After America surrendered in Bataan the Filipino and American soldiers and citizens were forced on a 65 mile march. They all marched to prison camps and they were all treated poorly in the camps. Many died on the march and a lot more also died on the actual camp as well. They marched in groups in about 100.

    Due to technological advancements America knew that the Japanese were going to try a surprise attack. The Japanese lost a lot of there ships and naval power because of the Battle of Midway. America had a much easier route to Japan after the batte because America could now overpower the Japanese due to the ships they lost.

    Stalingrad was in a stalemate strongly being held up by the fierce people of the city. Germany stayed at Stalingrad hoping the people would give up after a few months but they did not. The civilians of Stalingrad were a big reason why Hitler's plan to quickly beat Russia and other European countries failed. Hitler did not expect the civilians to be as strong as they were.

    This operation is when Britain first decided to strike back against the Germans bombing even public civilized areas. The British killed more then 1500 German civilians in this first attack. The attacks on the areas bombed impacted German morale heavily. Hitler refused to see the citied that were destroyed with the bombs.

    The operation was done to finish off the German morale with the final blows to their country. British were the ones who mainly did the bombing.     Germany gave a powerful counterattack that surprised American troops greatly. America lost many lives in this battle. General S. Patton led the American troops extremely well which stopped and lessened the German's success. The reasoned the battle is given the name Battle of the Buldge is because the way the Americans reacted and Germans fought forced them into the shape of a buldge.

    Battle of Iwo Jima
    The battle of Iwo Jima gave America more power, most of their attacks would stem from that base after being conquered. The Japanese had home advantage and used the caves and tunnels effectively. Iwo Jima was defended by around 23,000 Japanese soldiers. Iwo Jima was around 575 miles away from the coast of Japan, so America could attack quicker.

    This is the last and biggest battle in the war of the Pacific in World War II. The battle had 287,000 American troops to Japans 130,000 and they battled over vital land needed to America to land attacks on Japan. The methods by the Japanese and Americans caused the battle to have a bloody and gruesome outcome.

    VE Day is short for Victory in Europe day. All the Allie countries celebrated on this day in which they no longer fought. Soviet soldiers were taking German soldiers captive. The onlt problem with VE day is that there was still the war in Japan and that the Soviets and other Allies began to have problems.

    The declaration is also known as a proclamation. The declaration is declaring that rules and guidelines to Japans surrender to America. All forces would have to stop fighting and end World War Two. All three of the big Allied leaders met. Stalin from Russia was there, Churchill from Britain and Truman from the United States of America were all there for the document.

    The United States became the first and only country to drop the atomic bomb on civilization. America dropped the first bomb on Hiroshima and after that bomb the Japanese leaders still did not give up. President Truman then decided to drop a second atomic bomb on Nagasaki. Both of the cities that the bomb was dropped on were cities in which had civilians.

    VJ Day
    VJ Day was the official end to World War 2. After Japan surrendered to American troops some Japanese civilians were so scared of the Americans from the propaganda that they killed themselves. Emporer Hirohito urged his people to give up because of the atomic bombs. The emporer said that not only would the Japanese people be obliterated but the human race will be distinct.
