  • Invaison of Poland

    The German Blitzkrieg is the war that started world war one. It was non as the “lighting war.” Polish air force quickly became outnumbered against the Germany Luftwaffe. On Thursday August 31st, 1939, Adolph Hitler provides the final orders for the invasion of Poland. September the 18th, Polish city of Vilnius falls to soviet army. The polish government flees into Romania. On the 19th of September Germany and soviet army elements finally meet one another in Poland at Brest-litovsk.

    The Allied bombing of Hamburg during World War II (September 1939 – April 1945) included numerous strategic bombing missions and diversion/nuisance raids.     The Battle Midway was to bring the American carries out of Pearl Harbor and assail them in fail death. Japanese were also hopeful of an American negotiation to end the war in the pacific. They launched a contingent of 151 aircraft. They had lost 35 out of 41 of their aircrafts.

    Germanys invasion of Poland was because of Hitler signing the pack to assure Poland wouldn’t team up with France it’s important that they wouldn’t it’s important because if Poland an Frances army’s did team up Germany would have no chance in the war.     The Japanese invasion of China started because Japan needed more money. It started in 1931 and ended in 1937. On September 27, 1940 Japan signed the tripartite pact with Germany and Italy. They then entered the military alliance known as the “Axis”. It n a way it started the war world two. It got America into the wars.

  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The attack on Pearl Harbor, 1941.Aircraft and midget submarines of the Imperial Japanese Navy began an attack on the U.S naval base. Through earlier code breaking activity, the Americans had determined that an attack was likely to occur. However, while the Americans failed to discover Japan's target location, it was believed that the Philippines was the most likely target.   • Operation Thunderclap

    In August 1944 plans were drawn for an operation code named Thunderclap but it was shelved and never implemented. The plan envisaged a massive attack on Berlin that would cause 220,000 casualties with 110,000 killed, many of them key German personnel, which would shatter German morale. But on consideration it was decided that it was unlikely to work, so it was shelved.
