Hand Written Documents
Since the begining, when schooling first took place, everyone had to use pen/pencil and paper, and personally write out by hand documents and letters. Penmenship was key. The handwritten element is still in effect in today's classroom. -
Typewriters
Manual typewriters assisted people in multiple ways, especially in the classroom. This tool enabled students and teachers to begin typing out documents, rather than hand writing them out. This also enabled students and teachers to gain a new skill of typing. -
Electric Typewriter
Electric typewriters greatly increase speeds of typing out documents and allowed production of multiple copies of the identical hand typed document. This was a great tool for preparing handouts and other infomative papers for students and parents. -
The 1st Computer

Desktop Models
Desktop computer models such as the one pictured allowed students to type and save as the ones before, but added the innovations of spell check and the ability to email/mailing list programs. CD-ROM's were a big hit when it came to being able to transport and save information. This was ideal for presentations and important files. -
Laptop Models
Laptop computers enabled students and teachers to take their work on the go with them. They help students and teachers battle their busy schedule and keep up on their school work. Laptops also allow students and teachers to utilize different sources to enable learning, such as powerpoints, word documents, and internet resources. Also when students are not able to make it to classes, teachers are able to communicate with them via different programs like emailing or moodle. -
The "I" Generation: Ipad/Iphone
Apple produced the ipad and the iphone, as well as other companies producing smart phones and tablets. These nifty gadgets gives students the abilities to keep up on information and up to date on their phones. Tablets and the ipad are virtually smaller laptops when promote on the go education even better. These let students minimize their "luggage" while having the fastest technology and best access to equipment/tools to enhance their learning.
