He was forced to rally his country to prepare for a large bombardment on military and civilian lands. he had to prevent Hitler from demoralizing his people which had not been done ever to that point.

    On an early morning in the beginning of December in Hawaii hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the navel base Pearl Harbor. The attack lasted about 2 hours and they destroyed 20 navel ships and over 300 aircraft. Over 2,000 American soldiers and sailors were killed and over 1,000 more were wounded in the attack. This is what brought the United States into WWII
