Exposition 1
Minli lives in a small town in China with her mother and father. Her parents and her go to the rice feilds everyday and gather rice for thier dinner. Then, Minli goes home early and sets up dinner for her and her parents. After dinner Minli's father tells her storys about China. -
Expostion 2
Mini lives in a small town in China. As she travels she also visits more places. For example, a forest, a cave, and a mountain. -
Conflict
Minli's family is very poor and have a bad fortune. Minli feels bad that her parents work hard everyday and just come home to a bowl of rice. -
Exposition 3
Milnli lives with her mother and father. Minli goes on many journeys. Through her journeys she meets many characters. For example, a man who sells goldfish, dragon, a buffolo boy, the king, green tiger, twins, and man of the moon. -
Rising Action 1
Minli buys a fish with a gold coin from the goldfish man. Minli feels bad about keeping the fish so one night she lets the fish go in the jade river. The fish is so grateful she tells Minli how to get to the Man of the Moon. -
Rising action 2
Minli desides to leave for the Man of the Moon to change her family's fortune. She gathers all the materials that the fish said to bring with her. -
Rising Action 3
Ma and Ba find Minli missing after they come home from the rice feilds. They get woried and go after her. -
Rising Action 4
Minli sees a dragon trying to get free from branches and she frees him. Dragon says that he was born out of a painting. They decide to go togeather on the journey because Dragon wants to know why he can't fly. -
Rising Action 5
Ma and Ba are very tired and traveling in the forest. They hear someone ahead who they think is Minli but, it's really the goldfishman. The goldfishman tells Ma and Ba not to worry, and hopefully Milni will come home, but until then they should go back home. Ma and Ba decide to do what the Gold fish man said. -
Rising Action 6
Minli and dragon go to a city. Dragon waits outside the walls because dragons are forbidden in the city. Minli goes into the city and looks for the king to ask him for a borrowed line. -
Rising Action 7
Minli meets a buffolo boy. He shows Minli to a pesent. The pesent turns out to be the king. She tells the king she needs a borrowed line because she is going to see the Man of the Moon. -
Climax
The king gives Minli a peice of paper that is the borrowed line. He says its a peice of paper borrowed from the book the Man of the Moon has. -
Falling Action 1
After Minli and the king talk they go on a walk. Then Minli meets Dragon in the forest. -
Falling Action 2
Dragon says he found a borrowed line from three lions. Minli and dragon dont know which borrowed line is correct so they decide to bring both of them. -
Falling Action 3
Minli and dragon are trying to find a place to sleep for the night when a green tirger bites dragon adn he gets sick. -
Falling Action 4
Minli goes and trys to find help for Draon. She finds twins who kill the green tirger. Their father helps dragon. -
Resolution 1
Minli and Dragon find Never Ending Mountain. They make a kite out of the two borrowed lines to get Man of the Moons attention. -
Resolution 2
The rope turns into a bridge that is too heavy for dragon so Minli goes on it.Man of the Moon tells Minli she can only pick one question. She isn't sure what question to choose, Dragon's or Her's. -
Resolution 3
Minli decides to choose Dragon's question. They figure out that the orange pearl on Dragons back is not letting her fly. They fly home and dragon gives Minli the pearl. The pearl gives her family and village happiness and whelth!
