This was a crucial time for the native americans. Almost all indians were removed from there lands and relocated. Only the cherokee were not removed and that was because of their legal fight for their land. -

The Trail of Tears is the largest indain migration ever recorded. Only the Cherokee were not part of the migration. This was the result of the Indian Removal Act. -
Mexican-American War
This was our first war as the United States (Revolution doesn't count) and we won gain more land for us. This victory also gave us Florida. -
Transcontinental Railroad
The railroad was a break through for the States! It gave us the freedom to travel West or East in a short amount of time. This was the true end of the journey of Westward expansion.
