In Sarajevo snipers begin firing on civilians and killing many, including 3,500 children. As the shootings progressed they eventually ended up in the Serbians rounding up Muslims and began mass shootings. -
Battle of Somalia Begins
The Battle of Somalia begins, ultimately claiming the lives of 19 US soilders, and wounding 73 others. The Somalian forces had somewhere between 315-2,000 either wounded or killed. -

This was an operation by NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) against Bosnia and Herzegovina. It lasted for about two and a hald weeks and was very controversial at the time. -
