    Failed Assassination
    The attempt on president Kennedy's life has failed. A bullet struck the back of his head, but doctors were able to save him. He continues presidency, but has an awful temper.
  • Riots

    Riots
    Large riots break out pressuring Kennedy to pass the Civil Rights Act. Because of his temper, he doesn't pass it.
  • Jackie's Murder

    Jackie's Murder
    The riots grow larger and Jacqueline Kennedy is murdered.
  • Affair Leakage

    Affair Leakage
    After Mrs. Kennedy's murder, news of John's affairs are leaked. This puts Kennedy in a bad position. As a result, he slacks on his presidential duties. Soon, the Vietnam War doesn't involve the United States.
  • Reelections

    Reelections
    Kennedy isn't reelected. Instead, Arizona senator Barry Goldwater becomes president.
  • Chaos

    Chaos
    Under Goldwater's rule, the United States drops out of the United Nations because of China's involvement. The Civil Rights Act is permanently vetoed and thousands of troops are sent to China and Vietnam. Unrest is felt all over the world.
  • Fear

    Fear
    Goldwater commands his scientists to make a nuclear bomb. This bomb is pointed at every country involved in the Soviet Union and communism. The US easily becomes a military threat and war machine. The fear is so widespread, tourism drops and other countries refuse to do business. The United States is extremely low on money and resources for its people.
  • Unrest

    Unrest
    Riots break out against the government. These breakouts are silenced by military force. Barry Goldwater is assassinated. Vice president William Miller becomes president, but has the same opinions as Goldwater. Unrest continues.
  • Civil War

    Civil War
    Nearly everyone in the nation is scared and furious. The riots become larger and soon civil war breaks out between the states and the government. The war lasts seven years and costs nearly one million lives. It results in each state declaring itself its own country.
