  • 1986

    I visited the public library on a field trip and watched a puppet show.

  • 1988

    I was introduced to Berenstain Bears! I used to imagine I was apart of their family. I use to want to live in a treehouse.

  • 1996

    I took a psychology class and had to do research on serial killers. I became obsessed with reading anything that had to do with serial killers even though I was terrified.

  • 1998

    I started reading newspapers every day for current events.

  • 1998

    I read my first children's' book Couduoy to my first preschool class. I'll never forget because I didn't pronounce the name incorrectly.

    I use to read my intro to Sociology text to my one-year-old son! he didn't complain.

    I read my first Sister Souljah book. She is an Urban/Hip hop author.

  • 2005

    I discovered my 4-year-old daughter could actually read! She loved Dr. Seuss books!

  • 2006

    my suspicious was confirmed my son was diagnosed with a learning disability. reading and writing was a challenge for him. Moving Foward he is now an excellent reader!
