    The French and Indian war was also known as the 7 year war. The French and Indian war was a war between the French and The British. It was caused because the colonist kept pushing the Indians west. The French helped play a major role in the success of the Americans. The effect of the war was the Proclamation of 1763.

    The Proclamation of 1763 was where westward expansion into Ohio Territory was ended. They wanted to stop it completley. Westward expansion was cut off. The cause of this was that the British were still in debt. They wanted to find ways to make money. The effect of the proclamation of 1763 was that the colonist continued to move west anyway.

    The Stamp Act was an event that had the colonist angry. The Stamp Act was caused by the British. The British needed money and created the Stamp Act in order to get some money. The Stamp Act was tax on every legal document. The effect of the Stamp Act was that the colonist boycotted anything that delt with legal documents.

    The Townshend Acts was in 1767. The Townshend Act took money collected for imported good.This was done to pay British soldiers.It caused tax for glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This was caused because the British still needed money, and wanted to tax the colinist with "no offense". The effect was that the colonist boycotted all taxed goods.

    The first Continental Congrss met in Philadelphia from September 5th 1774 until October 26 1774. They served as a government for the 13 colines. The Cpmtinental Congress was caused by the previous tax acts on he colinist, performed by the British. The congress colinist were fed up with the tax acts. The effect of the 1st Continental Congress were that they demanded an end to the intolerable acts.

    This battle was the start to the revolutionary war. It was the Colinist versus The British. It started when the British went after colonist weapon area.The colonist felt that they had to protect their weapons, so they fought back. This was the beginning of the fight for independence.

    The battle of bunker hill lasted from 1775-1783. The war was between the British and the American Continental Army. The battle was caused as an extension of the battle of Lexington and concord. As an result, the battle was won by the British. Despite the loss that the American Continental army took, they received momentum, and caused several important deaths taut affected the British.

    An important person in the Battle of Trenton was General George Washington, who marched the continental army to Trenton, New Jersey. The cause of it was that the Americans were drove out of New York, and were not happy about it.This led to the battle of Princeton. The battles that were fought led to the british evacuating out of New Jersey. This battle was important because it gave the Continental army confidence since they made the British evacuate.

    The declaration of independence was a huge event and stepping stone for the Americans. The declaration of independence was about why the Americans chose to separate from Great Britian and why they wanted to become independent. The cause of this was the revolutionary war. These wars were costly but worth it. The effect of the Declaration of Independence was America gaining independence form Great Britain.

    This is the battle that made the Revolutionary war into a global war. There were 3 main people, and they were genaral John Burgoyne, Daniel Morgan, and general Horatio Gates. The British tried to seperate New England colinies from the Southern colonies. This was the turning pointof the revolutiionary war. The war was won by the colonist.

    Valley forge wss one of the worse winters that has taken place during the revolutionary war. The troops were more diciplined, and stronger. Valley forge was a millitary camp in Pennsylvania during the war. An effecct of Valley Forge were that small pox were spreading. THis would spread and effect many more people. George Washington was important in this event because he was the general, and tried his best to keep everyone together and alive.

    The Articles of Confederation was were the Continental Congress was adopted and made the first constitution of the United States. It had many strengths, along with some weaknesses. Some of the strensths were that they could declare , and also make peace. They could even borrow money if they needed to. These were benefits that helped tremendously. Some weaknesses or drawbacks were that they could not force states to obey laws, and that they did not have the Power to tax. It ended on 1789.

    The battle of Yorktown took place in Yorktown, Virginia. Two important people were the George Washington who, who was the general, and was commanding French and continenetal troops against general Lord Charles Cornwallis of the British troops. The bristish had 9000 troops and were out numbered by the French and conrinental by 8000 people. The British were defeated by the French and continental. This battle led to the Treaty of Paris.

    Congress created the Treaty of Paris to end the Revolutionary War. The treaty was between the British and the American colonies. The Purpose of the Treaty was to finally bring the treaty to an end. The Treaty was signed by the British. The signing brouht the Revoultionary war to an end.

    Shays rebellion happened because American Farmers were not pleased with the tax collections from state and local enforcements. Farmers were threatened that their farms would be taken away. The name "Shays Rebellion came from a continental army captain, Daniel Shays. The Articles of Confederation did not work, as the rebelliok proved that America needed a stronger federal government, as the federal government did very little about the situation. The federal government was weak.

    The great conpromise was important because it brought two different views, and combined them. The two views were the New Jersey plan, and the Virginia plan. The new jersey plan wanted equal representation. On the other hand Virginia wanted representation based on population. Both plans won , as they were brought together to create a bicameral government.

    The convention lasted from May 25- September 17 of 1787. It was the coming together of state represenatives to revise the articles of confederation. It turned out to be different. James Madison and Alexander Hamilton decided to create a new one. This was to create a stronger federal government. This did happen with the bicameral system. The bicameral legislative was a conurbation of the Virginia plan and the new jersey plan.

    3/5 Compromise
    The 3/5 Compromise was established in 1787. It was where 3/5 of a slave was counted as a citizen. It was used to make a larger population, therefore you will get more representation. The south wanted this, where as the north didn't. The south wanted it because they owned more slaves than the north. The south won because slaves wore now worth 3/5 of an citizen instead of property.
