The cold war

Cold War

  • Berlin Blockade

    Berlin Blockade
Joseph Stalin (Soviet Leader) closes highway roots that allowed western allies to get supplies into west Berlin.
He didn't want people in West Berlin to get supplies from the Western Allies. He wanted West Berlin to bargain with him and live by his rules. He wanted this because it would just benefit the soviet needs. This was the first conflict to the start of the Cold War that brought an idea that it was going to be a fight for the city of Britain.
  • Berlin Airlift

    Berlin Airlift
Hairy S. Truman doesn't back down against the Soviets so he begins the Berlin Airlift.
It lasted for more than 300 days. Military air craft would drop the necessary supplies for Western Berlin. He wasn't going to back down against a rival. He kept doing it until the Soviets were going to decide that it was foolish of them to make a blockade and unnecessary.
