The Tet Offensive was when North Vietnam launched a ton of attacks on South Vietnam cities. This event severely weakened the US citizens support of the war. This was because they thought the war was almost over and North Vietnam was about to surrender. But North Vietnam said sike and this happened. -
My Lai Massacre
The mass murder of 100’s of unarmed South Vietnam citizens because a US army troop thought it was apart of a Vietcong stronghold. The massacred only stopped when a US helicopter flew down told them to stop and if they didn’t they would shoot the US soldiers. -
