  • Kent State University Shooting: 4 Kent State University students were killed and 9 injured on May 4th , 1970 when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a student-led protest against the Vietnam war.

  • Watergate Scandal: In June 1972, the Democratic National Committee was broken into, resulting in an investigation against the Nixon administration, exposing his involvement and later resulting in his resignation.

  • Camp David Accords: Jimmy Carter brought Egyptian President and Israeli Prime Minister to his country retreat where they signed the Camp David Accords stabilizing their fractious relationship.
