    the french fighting the english and trying to accomodate indians as allies for the war. This war was about who was the biggest country in the world or for bragging rights.

    british congress passes a law stating colonists cannot move past the appalachian mountains or go west at all and for who lived past there to move back.

    British congress passed a law saying that colonist had to pay taxes for lead, paint, paper, and tea. this was caused by the stamp act. this raised taxes very high up in order for england to pay for debts because of the French and Indian War.

    the last battle of the american revolution. on september 28th, american and french troops arrived and on october 19th the British officially surrendered to the Americans.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris

    in 1783 George III made his Proclamation of Cessation of Hostilities, going in the Peace Treaty of 1783. Signed in Paris in 1783. This formally ended the United States War for Independence.
