    Nuclear Fission is a exothermic reaction which can release large amounts of energy both as electromagnetic. it is a nuclear reaction in which heavy molecule splits and spontaneously or on impact with another particle, with the release of energy. Lise Meitner and her nephew Otto Hahn were the first to recognize that the uranium atom along with Fritz Strassmann. I chose this because was how new bombs were made and how to practice and be more prepared for war.

    The Equal Rights Amendment reaffirmed the power of congress to fix a reasonable time period but also determined that congress has the power to promulgate an amendment after final state. On December 16th 1939 the national women's party meets and urges congress to act on equal rights amendment. This is important because if the women's party didn't meet then it could be possible that the equal rights amendment would exist entirely.

    Roosevelt was re-elected for his third term. He promised to maintain American Neutrality. The demand of unconditional surrender of the axis powers which some claim prolonged the war. Roosevelt being is re-elected is important because he maintained neutrality and if he didn't then we might have been more involved in the war then we already were.

    In 1941 a movie was made called 49th Parallel and it was a British war drama. The writer of the movie was Emeric Pressburger and the director was Michael Powell. Although the movie was released in London as the 49th Parallel It was released in the United states as "The Invaders".

    Pearl Harbor
    The attack of Pearl Harbor happened on December 7th 1941 Japanese fighter planes attacked the American Naval Base. The Japanese destroyed 20 American Naval Vessels and more than 2,400 American soldiers and sailors died in the attack. This was important because we defeated Japan even though they killed so many soldiers and destroyed so many vessels and while all of this was happening Hitler was angry.

    "White Christmas" is the best selling single of all time according to the Guinness World Records and the song won an academy award for best original song. Although Irving Berlin wrote the song Crosby sung it. It was the most recorded song, there is more than 500 different versions and is also sung in many languages. The estimated sale is 100 million.

    "Yankee Doodle Dandy" was a film created in 1942, it was directed by Michael Curtiz and and was written by Robert Buckner and Edmund Joseph. James Cagney starred in the film dance and sung and made the film $11,800,000.

    The flim was released in August of 1942 and it was produced by Walt Disney and the budget was 858,000 and made approximately 267.4 million. In June 2008 the American Film Institute presented a list of its top 10, and the movie placed 3rd. Three actors played the voice of Bambi as he went through the stages of life, Baby Bambi was played by Bobby Stewart. Donnie Dunagan as young Bambi Hardie Albright as adolescent Bambi and John Sotherland as Young Adult Bambi

There were two million dollars in damages. There were reports that wells dried up and that chimneys crumbled and that cracks appeared in the ground.
