    Boston Massacre
    British soldiers trying to get jobs because of being poorly paid after the war and the colonists became ferious,and they were tired of being taxed. They fought against the soldiers which led to five colonists being killed.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    A group of Boston rebels dressed up them selves as Native Americans and borded three ships. They threw all the tea off these ships and broke every chest they came in. They did this because of the tax on colonial tea sellers and they took matters into their own hands.

    5 Intolerable Acts by King George
    When King George found out that the colonists did these things and didnt want to pay for the damages he made the intolerable acts. the intolerable acts led to the shut down of Boston Harbor and letting soldiers live in the colonists homes. And the martial law which means that the military rules for the time being.

    Thomas a Virginia lawyer was chosen to produce the committee's points for independence. In doing so he expressed John Locke's point in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Then showing that all men should be created equal and how King George did not do any of these things. Also by making unfair and curel laws that only made him happy but not his people that he was suppose to be serving as king.

    The Declaration of Independence declaraed that every country should be treated equal and not unfair. Also it showed that government is there to serve the people and not the other way around. Then giving the people the right to alter or abolish laws that they did or not like. Not just having countries being treated equal it also stated that men should be treated equal as well.

    The Articles of Confederation is a set of laws that made two levels of government. The two levels of government are the State and the National government so they can share powers. Whereas the State are supreme over some casees and the national government was supreme in other matters.

    The treaty of paris is document that confirmed the U.S. there independence from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and from Canada to the Florida border. This treaty also became alot of trouble like for instant the treaty did not specified when the British troops would evacuate. The british did not attempt to protect the land of the Native Americans which is suppose to be there allies now.

    Daniel Shays was in the war and when he came home to his farm he found that he was under too much taxation. Outradge Shay decided to do somthing about this problem and in doing so the cause Shays's Rebellion became known. The result of this rebellion led into the delegates finally fixing the problems that needed to be fixed and making the farmers lives a little bit easier.

    Federalism came to be because no one in this time wanted a tryanny like they had with king George. So they decided to make a government where the people would be the ones to have a say on what should happen in the government. At first the people were affraid of having the same thing happening but now they are not.

    The three branches of government happened after federalism. This was to prove that the people would have there say in the government . Also the three branches of government gave equal power to each branch and also thy do not have enough power to over rule one another. This meant that no one would be treated different.

    Thomas Jefferson was one of the leaders of the anti-federalists. The anti-federalists were colonists that did not want to ratify the constitution. They said that the constitution did not give colonists protection for individual rights amnd they listed all the possible abuses of power by a strong center government. Also they feared that the government would favor the minorty and ignore the rights of the majority.

So he fired most of the people that was working there before he became president and brought in people that he thought would be able to do the work he would ask of them. He said that the bank would benefit the nation and how this would show how the people of America want to help in making this country a better one.

    The Bill of Rights is the result of the anti-federalists fighting against ratifying the Constitution. This was because of all the things that the anti-federalists saw that the Constitution did not have and the Bill of Right gave them the individual rights that they wanted in the Constitution. They wanted the people to freedom of religion, speech, and of the press. Also the right to a fair trail by a jury and the right to bear arms.
