    Proclamation of 1763
    This proclamation did not allow colonist to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. The British Government feared the conflict between colonist and Native Amaricans would lead to another war. They also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the weastern lands. Colonist were enraged by this proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indian War.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    Britian was low on income so they needed to save revonue. So the British Government decided to make colonist house and provide supplies for them instead of paying for them.
  • Townshed act

    The Townshed acts was a tax on inported goods brought into the colonies. Such as paint,glass,lead, and tea. And suspended New York assembly to provide housing for the troops.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party started when the British Government passed the tea act. The Tea Act gave the British East Indian company control over the american tea trade. The colonist were enraged so they went onboard a ship carring millions of dollars of tea and dumped it into the harbor to show protest.
  • Intolerable Act

    the Intolerable acts were passed after the Boston Tea Party. The Intolerable acts would close the port of boston. colonist were angry and upset that they had to pay for the damaged tea.
  • Lexington And Concord

    The first battels of the Revolutionary War. During the stare down a colonial troop fired THE SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD. Andthat is how the battle began.
  • Olive Branch Petition

    Olive Branch Petition was a document that asked the king to restore harmony. It was also drafted by the moderates in congress. The king ended up bunishing the colonist instead.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The decleration was a document stating the colonist want independence. It was writen by Thomas Jefferson.
