    Proclamation of 1763
    This proclamation did not allow colonist to settle west of the appalachian mountains. The British government feared the conflict between colonist and Native Americans would lead to another war. They also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the western lands. Colonist were enraged by this proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indian war.

    This act was to save costs, and it was mandatory that colonist to let british soilders into their home and give them supplies.

    The Stamp Act required any legal, and commercial documents to havee an offical stamp. They did this to show that tax had been paid. Every document, including newspapers had to have the stamp.

    The Townshend Acts suspended New York's assembly until they agreed to give British Troops housing. Other Acts from the townshead Acts, placed duties, or placed taxes an various imported goods.

    On April 9, 700 british troops reach Lexington and are met by 170 Milita men. They were the first battles of the Revolutinary War. The shot heard around the world, was started by an unknown shooter.
