  • The American Revolutionary War Started

    The Revolutionary War happened when the American colonists fought for independence from Great Britain. This tough battle of blood and pain resulted in a big victory for America. The war ended on September 3, 1783. This war was important because without it, America would not be what it is today.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was a document written by Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Rodger Sherman, and Robert Livingston. It declared America as a free country. It is important because it recognized America to be a free country.
  • The Civil War

    The Civil War was fought between the Confederate States and the Union states over the issue of slavery. It is important because it resulted in the end of slavery and the unification of the states. It ended on May 9, 1865.
  • World War 1

    The World war fought between the allies(UK, France, Russia) and the central powers( Germany, Hungary, Italy). More than 9 million people lost their lives. USA supported the allies but did not join the war actively. It is important because it divided the world into two opposing groups. It ended on Nov 11, 1918.
  • The Great Depression

    The Great Depression was a time when American economy and a lot of world economies suffered a severe recession. Majority of people lost their lifetime savings and their jobs. It is important to us because it taught us a lesson in financial responsibily

    In World War two, America defeated Hitler and other dictators and helped free its allies.
    it is important because America emerged as a leader of the free world. The war ended on September 2, 1945
  • The Cold War

    The Cold War was a result of mistrust and competition for supremacy between Capitalist USA and communist Russia. It is important because a lot of resources were spent towards the war including towards collecting nuclear weapons. It ended on Jan 11,1991
  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    The Voting Rights act gave equal voting rights to African Americans and to all citizens. It was passed due to the efforts of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. It is important because it created eqality amongst citizens.
  • Apollo 11 Moon Landing.

    Neil Armstrong became the first human being to walk on Moon. This was an important event because it established the supremacy of the USA space program.
  • 9/11 The Attack on The Twin Towers

    9/11 was a very sad event. It all happened in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Four planes were hijacked. Out of the four, two planes crashed into the World Trade Center and one crashed into the pentagon and one crashed into an open field. This event was important because it changed the way American security worked.
