    Jamestown was founded
    Jamestown was named after King James the first. The importance of this is that is started the wave of colonization that began the United States.

    The Colonization was growing more and more in people, Animals, and goods. Jobs were growing, and so were the taxes.

    Boston Teaparty
    The British Colonists were tired of the taxes on tea, playing cards, and other things. This is important because it shows our independance and will to stand up for what we want.

    The Colonists were on their last limb when it came to taking taxes.

    We want our independence! It took awhile too, 8 years. The importance is that This was the gateway to our independance and now, newly made country!

    The Declaration of independance and the Constutition were signed at these times. The importance is it established laws and our official indepenance!

    The battle of the Alamo
    Even though we had lost this battle, to keep Texas from Mexico, this was a great battle and the men who lost their lives died with honor.
    The importance is that this did not stop us from fighting, we perservered even though the scene was bleak.

    It lasted from 1861-1865 The North and the South were fighting over slavery. Although the North didn't need it because of industry and South did because of the farms, it still was not a good way to treat other human beings. This was VERY important because it gave America the name "home of the free" because no matter the background you are from, you are welcome to make this country your home.

    Women now are given the right to vote, work in any job, and attend the school's much like the boys do where they learn math and Language arts.

    The Stock markets go down, and everyone was starving and many other horrible things. This really hurt many people, and it made people realize they were happy to thave the money they owned.

    Martin Luther King JR
    A civil rights activist Martin Luther King JR and gave African Americans equal rights. He was shot and killed by James Earl Ray.
  • Moon Landing

    Moon Landing
    Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. It is important because we can do anything if we put our mind to it, even touch the stars.
