The Wizard of Oz was an allegory of the populist movement. The story was about the adventure of a young girl named Dororthy Gale, trying to find her way back to Kansas. On the way, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly lion tag along to go see the wizard of oz. The Tin woodman, the scarecrow, and the cowardly lion all lack self cofidence.
