  • Great Awakening

    Great Awakening
    The Great Awakening was important because it got people back to religion and they were able to gather together and talk about politics.
    It was led up to because of the lack of religion in the colonies.
    What would happen during this was many people would come together to hear a precher talk to them all.
    The colonist were happy for this and reacted by coming to the events.
    This led to people being able to talk about politics as well as just listen to religous topics
  • French and Indiana War

    French and Indiana War
    This event was important because Brtain and Indians were having a war and it gave England alot of land.
    What led up to this was Britain and France were interested in the Ohio Valley and Great Lake region.
    Benjamen Franklen helped write the Albany plan of Union.
    The colonist teamed up with the British,and Indians and fought France and some Indians.
    It ended because Britain got more land.
  • The Proclaimation of 1763

    The Proclaimation of 1763
    The British made the Proclaimation which banned any further British and Colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains, creating a divding line between colonial and Indian lands.
    It was made so no more colonist die when they crossed indian borders.
    The British and the Colonist stoped moving into Indian terriotory.
    Colonist were not happy about the Proclaimation because they could not go across Indian lines
    This led to many Colonist ignoring it which made people like Daniel Boone famous.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    This was important because the sugar act taxed imported molasses and sugar.
    they needed money from the debts of the French and Indian war.
    The imported sugar and molasses were taxed to colonist
    The colonist did not like this so Samuel Adams stood up and said that its illegal because taxes need to be made by the people.
    It ended because Samuel Adams stood up and said it was not right and colonist rebeled
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    It was important because it was the first time there was a tax on paper.
    This happened because of the dept from the French and Indian war.
    People were forced to buy stamps or seals whenever they bought any sort of paper.
    The Colonist became angrey with this.
    It ended when the colonist started protesting.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The colonist were taxed on glasses, lead, paints, paper, and tea.
    It was led up to because they needed money to pay off the debt of the French and Indian War.
    The colonist were taxed on the different items.
    The Colonist became upset with the new taxes on the items.
    Colonist rebeled against the taxes and the system was shut down.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    It was important because Police commited crimes in killing Colonist.
    This was led up to because Soliders and Colonist would do name-calling, arguments, and fights between bostonians.
    Soliders shoot at some Colonist and Samuel Admas spread the word of this.
    The Colonist did not like this because they did not want to get killed.
    It was ened when a Colonist got branded on the hand.
  • Tea Act

    This is important because British put a tax on tea.
    It was led up to because of the French and Indian War.
    The British passes a law so there was a tax on tea.
    The Colonist did not like the tax.
    This led up to the Boston Tea Party
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    This was important because Colonist got mad at the British and threw 90,000 pounds of tea into the the Boston Harbor.
    What led up to this was Colonist got angrey about the tax on tea.
    What happened during this was Colonist dressed up as a group of Indians and climb aboard of three big ships filled with tea and threw the tea off.
    The Colonist wetre very happy about this but the British was very angry.
    This all led to the Intolerable acts.
  • Intolerable Acts

    This was important because Boston Harbor was closed and it took nights away from the Colonist.
    It was led up to because of the Boston Tea Party.
    Soliders were allowed to stay in the Colonist houses and the parliament pasted the Intolerable Acts.
    The Colonist had Boycotts.
    It ened in 1778.
  • Battle of Lexington/Concord

    Battle of Lexington/Concord
    It was important because it was the start of the the American Revolution.
    It was led up to because the British were ordered to destroy military supplies.
    What happened during this was Paul Revere rode at mid night warning everyone that the Redcoats were coming.
    The British were upset because they could not find the military supplies but the Colonist were happy because they won the war.
    It ended when the British lost the battle.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    It was important because it could prove that the Colonist could take on the the British.
    this was let up to because the British wanted to take control of the hills.
    during this Colonist started digging trenchs that they could hid in.
    The British were disappointed even they won the battle because they lost 1,000 men.
    It ended because they colonist lost the battle.

    It was important because it is the number one top selling pamphlets.
    It was led to because of the American War.
    Thomas Paine was the one who wrote common sense.
    The Colinst were happy because they were the ones who bought these copies.
    This led to inspiring and encouraging the patriots during the revolutionary war.

    It is very important because it gave people the three unalienable rights.
    this was led up to because the Colonist should have freedom.
    many people signed this in agreement.
    The Colonist were very happy about this because it gave them freedoms.
    This led up to the freedom of people.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    It was important because it was the turning point of the Revolutionary War.
    The British want to take control of the Hudson River Valley to cut off New England from other Colonies.
    Burgoyne and his forces were defeated so they forced to surrender.
    The Colonist were happy because it was a major victory from the U.S.
    It ened when the U.S. won the battle.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    Its imporatant because Great agreed to recongnize the independence of the U.S.
    It was led up to because of the Rewvolutionary War
    All debt between Britian and America were paid off.
    The colonist were happy and so was Britian.
    This led to the freedom of the U.S. and Britain.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    It was important because it was one of the last battles of the Revolutionary War.
    What led up to it was the Revolutionary War.
    U.S. Soldiers and cannons got closer to Yorktown as the battle went on.
    The Colonist were happy because they had won the war.
    This led to the Treaty of Paris
