    On page 2-3 it says, When parents become depressed, angry, and sullen with one another and have increased conflict, the result is of- ten harsh and inconsistent parenting or withdrawal. For adolescents, that can mean increases in risky behavior and less qdevelopment of the sorts of competencies that protect them from those risks. Our parents influence us good and bad. When they fight it arouses conflict in the family as was talked about in the passage.

    On page 3 it says, They have a strong investment in social comparison and reflected appraisal and with meeting the demands of those considered the most popular in their peer group. This explains the importance of our peers influence on us.

    A time when family or culture impacted by health-related decision is when my mom changed from using eggs to egg whites because that affected me positivily because my diet was changing because of her decision. This was a positive decision.

    On page 4 it says, Peers influence everyone’s life, even if people don't realize it, just by spending time with together. This is called peer pres- sure. You learn from them, and they learn from you. It's only human nature to listen to and learn from other people in your age group. This means we need to surround ourselves with good people and people we can count on.
