The French and Indian War was fought over the Ohio River Valley between Britain and France fighting over the territory. The war was from 1754-1763. The 4 major battles were the Battle of Saratoga, Yorktown, Lexington & Concord, and Trenton.The Treaty of Paris ended the war and it led up to America getting their independence.

The 5 grievances were acts passed by Paliament after the French and Indian War. They put taxes on certain things and colonists didn't like them.

The Sugar Act was passed in 1764 and it put taxes on sugar, the colonists did not like it.
