    Becuase of JFKs active containment strategy for the communism, we gave money and troops to the french to stop a communiest uprising in vietnam. This resulted in the Tonkin resolution that gave LBJ full power to initiate war without the consent of congress. He then call for war to help stop the spread of communism.

    Ended segregation in school and most facilities in America. Also stopped the Cuban Missle crisis.

    They used nonviolence in many ways. Nonviolence african american protester apointed to speack out against blacks discrimination. Students nonviolence coordinatin committee – a loose association of activist students from the south did many sit – ins. Also the freedom riders in the south.

    These violent forms of protest changed the civil rights movement in many ways. They began to show that using violence would get what they wanted faster than using a nonviolent protest. This resulted in alot more inguries and many deaths from these riots.

    We had many strategies in Vietnam. One was to use lots of bombing runs. We also used lots of convential warfare with the inclusion of the new napalm bombs. We also tried to put a puppet democratic leader in power in South Vietnam.

    Strengths: The had massive support from the younger generation. It caused an change in ideals from many Americans which in result changed many view of Americans.
    weaknesses: Eventhough they had such a large support group, many thought the counterculture was a bad influence. This resulted in a lot of hate from many americans

    The American publics reaction to the Vietnam War was unlike the other wars. Because of the new TV, journalism showed the true horrors of war. This resulted in the public not supporting the war.

    The Vietnam war costed the U.S. many long term effects. One would be that these veterans would not be the same as the other. There will be many cases of PTSD. They American public will also never fully support a war again. It also caused lots of damage to Vietnam which result in them being pushed back and being behind in the world. We permenatly scarred Vietnam with out loads of bombs.

    There was many major changes that resulted from events in the Civil Rights Movement. African Americans gained their rights to vote. Brown vs. board of education: banned racial segregation in public schools. This sprung up hot debates about the busing situation intergrated or separate.

    They gained lots of things like the desegragation of schools and other facilities but they also had many problems. Many people were still raciest about the minorities in America which caused they to still be put down even though they had their rights.

    They all decided that this was a good time to fight for their rights along side the African Americans. This caused many new groups to pop up wanted to gain more rights for the group they represented. Because of the civil rights movement, they're are many more rights for all Americans
