    This was significant because African Americans had to take many sacrifices to bea able to establish a good life.

    This was significant because it banned the manufacture, sale nad transportation of alcohol.
  • 19th Amendment

    This was siginficant because it denied the right to vote based on sex.
  • Emergency Quota Act

    This event was significant because it restricted the number of immigrants admitted from any country into the United States. This gave many people little hope of a new life.
  • Immigration Act 1924

    This event was significant because this was the same as the Emergency Quota Act of 1921, except this one decresed the 3% of the number of people from that country who were already living in the United States to 2%.
  • Black Tuesday

    This was significant because it was a very hard time for the United States, when the stock market lost 11% of it's value.
  • Black Thursday

    This was significant because it was when the NYSE crashed leading to the Great Depression of the 1930s.

    This was significant because FDR was a great president and helped the economy and the people especially!

    This was significant not only because it was buit really big for the economy but also because many people gor a job because of their help constructing it.
