  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    This war was fought mainly between the British America and New France. They both supported militatry units, but mainly fought over land.

    This Englsih law restricted colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This was a direct tax forced by the British parlliment used mainly on the British colony. The conflict was that the British Government wanted the colonies to pay portion of the expenses.

    The Quartering Act, more towards the governments of the American colonies. They were to provide housing and supplies for British Soldiers.

    The Townshed Act had to do with laws. It was a series of laws passed to the colonies beginning in 1767.

    This started when the British troops had been stationed in Boston to protect the parlimentary legislation. In result 5 men were killled and six were injured.

    This act was about Lord North's attempt to try to save the British East Indian Company. Because of the American boycott of British the tea damaged the companies ways they had to sell 17 million pounds of tea.

    This was mostly about the loyalists and how they paid their taxes for tea and coffee. Dutch tea was smuggled into the colonies and given to the patriots. This did not stay peaceful for long.

    Lord North was very suprised to hear the situation that happened with the tea. Because of how upset Great Brittain was, the Parliament passed a new series of laws.

    Certain men were sent to the first Continental Congress from the twelve British North American Colonies.

    Lexington and Concord
    This was the first military engagment in the history of the American Revolutionary War. The British Army was given orders to take and destroy military supplies.
