  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was an act by Parliament which placed a tax on taxed newspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, broadsides, legal documents, dice, and playing cards.
  • Boston Massacre

    A protest in Boston was in occurrence and for an unknown reason, a gun shot went off, which triggered British soldiers to fire upon the Colonists in the protest. Not very many people died, but it caused a large wave of discomfort among the Colonists.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Colonists dressed up as Indians, snuck on a boat, which was carrying a lot of tea, They threw all the tea into the ocean. as a revolt to the Tea Act.

    Revolutionary War

    The 13 Colonies fought against Great Britain to fight for the countries freedom. The War started at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts, and ended in Yorktown Virginia.
  • Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence

    By doing this, America was officially its own nation.

    Farmers rioted about an uprising of taxes. The government did not really respond and the framers could not do much more.
  • Constitution Ratified

    The majority of the delegates to the Constitutional Convention approved the documents. The Constitution set up America's laws and government.
  • Bill of Rights ratified

    The Bill of Rights is the first 10 Amendments in the Constitution. They mainly focus on the peoples rights in relationships to the government.
  • Cotton Gin Invented

    Eli Whitney invented a machine that could take the seeds much easier and quicker than bare hands can. This was revolutionary for American economic. Cotton could be produced much quicker and more efficiently now.
