Oil was discovered and many jobs were created due to this discovery. Texas produced a lot of oil needed to use cars. People had thought they had seen forests when really they had only seen a few hundred oil wells. There were over 3,600 wells in Texas. People were gambling when drilling for oil. -

Spindle top TX marked the start of the oil boom and bust in TX. The discovery of oil was an economic boom and bust. People started gambling for oil in Texas just guessing where oil may lay underneath the dirt, rock, and sand. There were 3,600 oil wells in Texas, and alot of people cane to TX to get a job with oil. -
Progressive Era
Many reforms happened at this point in time, and caused lots of crimes. Alchohol was illegal and latter was revoked because it was too hard to inforce. Women were allowed to vote after a period of time. "Muckrakers" were journalists who exposed many of the corrupted because they were causing money to goto waste. -
World War 1
In WW1 many people died and many people had lost their jobs, and their families when they were drafted into the war. Women started getting in-traditional jobs in the factories. Trenches were dug in the war and whatever you did you had done in the trench. People bought "War Bonds" for the government to use the money then repay the people who had bought the War Bond. -
Dust Bowl
Because people had poor farming, and non-proper use of wind mills. People moved to California because there they didn't have a drought at the time. People couldn't make money so many farms were removed and people couldn't efford to buy food. The Hoover dam changed the economy after the WW. -
WW2
WW2 caused my deaths and hundreds of thousands of dollars to rebuild. Axis powers had lost and surrened. Japan had surrened after both Atomic bombs had been dropped. Germany had already surrened when Japan did. The Allied powers had won the war.
