  • Feb 1, 1543

    Copernius

    Copernius developed the Copernican Heliocentrism which is the astronomical model. It positioned the sun near the center of the universe, motionless, with Earth and the other planets rotating around it in circular paths modified by epicycles and at uniform speed.
  • Immanuel Kant

    Immanuel Kant developed the Theory of Perception reffered to as the Copernican Revolution. It described the cosmos as having Earth stationary at the center of the universe, to the heliocentric model with the sun at the center of the solar system.
  • Karl Marx

    Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto. It summarizes theories about the nature of society and politis. Breifly features ideas for how the capitalist society of the time would eventually be replaced by socialism and then finally communism.
  • Derrick Bell: Critical Race Theory

    He described a theoretical framework in the social sciences focused upon a critical examination of society and culture, to the intersection of race, law and power.
  • Jurgen Habermas

    He developed the theory called Communicative Rationality or Communicative reason. It describes human rationality as a necessary outcome of succesful communication.
  • Carol Gilligan: Different Voice

    In a Different Voices is a book on gender studies. It critized Kohlberg's stages of moral development of children. She claims women tend to think and speak in a different way than men when they confront ethical dilemmas.
