Advanced middle and high school students are increasingly eyeing the chance to take physics from schools such as MIT or Shakespeare at Harvard. This trend will accelerate and my school is riding this wave. We are partnered with a consortium of elite schools nationwide to offer online course to enrolled students. -
RISE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING FOR LEARNING
Collaborative online environments will become the norm to supplement every physical classroom. Learning Management Systems (LMS) will be the foundation for incorporating technology in my classes with great scope for pedagogical benefits. The growth of social media sites will be exploited for maximizing academic opportunity. -
DIGITAL PORTFOLIOS REPLACING STANDARDIZED TESTS AND COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION
I can see project based learning gaining more ground with digital portfolios more prevailent for learning and assessment purposes. -
INSTRUCTION NOT BASES BY GRADE LEVEL
A teacher might be very comfortable working at one particular grade level but modern classrooms will include various ages groups. This will demand flexibility and greater organization on the behalf of the teacher. -
THE ILLIMINATION OF PAPER
All students will be using digital platforms to write and communicate. Books and resources will all become electronic. At my school, our heavily relied upon printing and copying department will shut down.
