President Wilson came up with a 14 point plan about 10 months before WWI ended. This was to punish the German military because President Wilson thought they needed to be punished for causing the most damage in World War I. After President Wilson went to turn these points in he oddly got shut down because the punishments were too “nice” according to the French who thought the Germans should suffer a lot more.

This is the conference where most of the countries associated with World War I were to talk about the Treaty of Versailles, I say most because Germany wasn’t really in the meeting/conference. The four powers of the meeting, United States, France, United Kingdom, and Spain, were the ones who came up with the exact punishments for the Germans and talked the most. The Conference ended with all of the countries even Germany signing the treaty.

He agreed with the treaty even though he knew there were some flaws in it. He believed that the League of nations can resolve those issues and maybe even prevent another war.

Everyone has signed the treaty and was then finally official. The only people to refuse the signing was China. After the signing many people rejoiced and were happy about there finally being peace.
-
Even though the allies got Germany to sign the treaty they now had to give it in the to U.S. Senate and have a debate. While the treaty had many bad thing for Germany in it and that’s what everyone wanted the Senate still needed to debate.

Women's Suffrage ended after the peace treaty was turned into the U.S Senate this gave all women limited power to vote. Women had a really big part in the community while men were off at war so they decided to fill in all the roles the men did like their jobs. The women of the 1900s were trying their best to show what they could do and this payed off by them being able to vote.

The President toured all around the United States giving speeches and talking to people. He went on his 8,000 mile journey for 22 days giving around 40 different speeches in 29 different cities. While he was on his tour he collapsed on stage and had to be sent back to Washington D.C.
-
Even though everyone got to sign the treaty and everyone agreed on it the U.S Senate had the last say in what they did with it and they sadly decided to refuse to ratify it. The “team” who led the Senate to refuse the ratification were called the Irreconcilables led by 14 republicans and one democrat.

Even though the treaty wasn’t signed the League of Nations was not revokes and they had their first meeting on this date. Everyone who signed the treaty was there and Germany couldn’t come until they proved that they were a peaceful loving country. They proved themselves as being loving for about two years.
