    The Declaration of Independence has great significance to the American people because it is what led our Independence from King George 3. It started certain ideas that were believed for men such as liberty and equality. Washiongton DC, American's revolutionary Character of Freedom.The Declaration of Independence is a document upon which our nation's founding principles were established. It set the course for our nation on a journey of freedom, which also led this historical document on its own.

    Germany invaded Poland and 50 million people lost their lives. Also millions where left homeless. Between 1993 and 1945 the Allies droped 3.4 million tons of bombs. This is important to me because it was a human disaster. The UN was created to keep the peace amoung nations and to punish aggressors. It was the largest armed conflict in history. Last it is so sad to think of the millions of people that died that day.

    Japanese war planes appeared out of nowhere to bomb the American base at Pearl Harbor. It was a highly secretive and devestating attack. Four ships sunk, more than 2,000 servicemen died, 2,402 Americans were killed, 1,282 were wounded, and the United States was thrown into World War 2. The war caused the U.S. to use aircraft carriers instead of battleships.

    John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the USA, was assassinated while traveling through Dallas Taxas in an open-top convertable. JFK was shot by a sniper. He served just over 1,000 days as presidnet. He was the youngest to be electerd for office. Since the President and Mrs. Kennedy were younger than other presdients, they were very popular in the media culture. 2013 is the 50th aniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

    There were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks on Tuesday September 11th. Two of the planes crashed into the twin towers. One of the planes landed in a field but was suppose to crash into the White House.The last plane hit the Pentagon.It was one of the only days when planes weren't in the sky.It also was one of the few times we were attacked on Americam soil.This changed our security dramatically.They didn't like us being free and thought they could punish us.
