  • The Mitten

    The Mitten
Even though I could not read, I enjoyed being read to and really liked "The Mitten" and other books by Jan Brett.
  • Millions of Cats

    Millions of Cats
My mom always liked ti authort/artist and I also loved the book, it may also be part of the reason why I like cats.
  • The Quiltmaker's Gift

    The Quiltmaker's Gift
This is a longer storybook but I still liked it, the illustrations were really pretty too.
  • Biscuit

    Biscuit
These were some of the first books I read myself. They were simple and easy to read but the whole reading thing hadn't quite clicked yet. Although that doesn't mean I disliked being read to.
  • Rainbow Magic

     Rainbow Magic
In second grade my reading almost stopped, I hadn't improved and couldn't really read at all, I still made my mom read these to me but she also made me read them back out loud.
  • Ella Enchanted

This was when reading started to click for me, in between 2nd and 3rd grade I finaly figured out reading. When I was read this book instead of waiting till the next day to learn more, I read it on my own. It was a major part in my learning how ot read to myself and enjoy it.
  • Harry Potter

    Harry Potter
I was read a majority of the first book aloud but was too impatient and read ahead. Then I was hooked and read the whole series all during third grade. The Harry Potter books are one of the main reason's why I like fantasy.
  • Warriors

    Warriors
I started reading this series after I was able to buy the first book in a book order. I kept reading them all through 5th grade when I gave up. There are like 40 something of them...
  • Sister's Grimm

    Sister's Grimm
I learned about this series from a friend of mine and we both read them at about the same time. One of the main things I remember was that the librarian would sometimes save the next one in the series for us on the sly.
  • The Wanderer

    The Wanderer
This was one of my first forced readings, I did not enjoy reading it. At all.
  • The Magician's Nephew

    The Magician's Nephew
This was the first weird book I read, mostly because it was about traveling through dimensions and was really abstract for a fourth grader. Oddly enough I still enjoyed it.
  • The Giver

    The Giver
This is one of the books I should of waited or oppted out of reading, the dreams that the main caracter had just creeped me out, along with the bathing scene. Just don't read unless you think you are ready, ask someone else too.
  • Runemarks

    Runemarks
This was a random book that I had found interesting and actually really good. It's a pretty big read , so procede with caution if you arn't used to reading thick books. It also peeked my interest in scandinavian mythology.
  • The Hunger Games

    The Hunger Games
I decided to read these books just because they were popular and alot of people liked them. The Thing is that once I finished the series it didn't sit with me quite right and later I realised that some of the polt was rushed and the writing not at it's best. This was the first time I really noticed the quality of writing other than obvios flaws.
  • The Wednesday Wars and Okay for Now

The Wednesday Wars and Okay for Now
These are some of my favorite Historical fiction books, they're a breach out of the fantasy/sci-fi genre.
  • To Kill a Mockingbird

    To Kill a Mockingbird
I wasn't expecting to like this book, but in the end I really enjoyed it even though I had to suffer through assignments on it and small groups. This is one of the few classics I've read and is my favorite of them.
