Tea may have had its profits, but sometimes there was a lot of loss. To get shipment from India and China costed a lot. Then you had to send metal cans to your customers for sample. Tired of high prices, Thomas Sullivan, a tea merchant, thought of the idea to change tin cans to tea bags in 1908! He just thought of the idea accidentally and it became a huge success, but the idea was stolen.
