    This act allowed new western states to establish colleges for the people of their area that focused on agriculture.

    Was an act to develop universities that provide federal lands to teach agriculture to the surrounding populace
  • Martha Rensselaer

    Martha Rensselaer

    One of the few women leading the path in the FCS field. She developed many programs with the most extensive being the cooperative extensions service. She was also the president of the AAFCS. Born on 1864
