    This is about the convention of delegates of 12 colonies(at this time Georgia was not present). It was a response to the passage of the Coercive Acts. Because the Coercive Acts was the punishment to the colonists from the Boston Tea Party
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    Convention of delegates from the 13 colonies. After the First Continental Congress. This managed the colonial war effort, and moved incrementally towards independence, adopting the United States Declaration of Independence.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    It's is a statement adopted by Continential Congress. Which announced 13 American colonies, then war with Great Britain. Saying that the colonies are independent and no longer part of the Britih Empire.     Delegates begin to sign engrossed copy of the Declaration of Independence. A large British reinforcement arrives at New York after being repelled at Charleston, S.C.

    This is the feature of Article of Confederation and Perpetual Union. This Union means that the states are not permitted to withdraw the Union, which mean they can't break the alliance between the states.

  • Shay's Rebellion

    Shay's Rebellion
    This was about the Massachusett farmers rebelling because of the financial difficulties and lack of hard currency. The most significant event of the rebellion is in late Feburary, at Sheffield where 30 rebels got injured while fighting with the troops. Shay's Rebellion video link

    This conference was about how to avoid the situation of getting in revolution with the government. It was mostly about the economic problems in the country.

    It was about the separation of powers, setting the ideology of population weighted representation in the proposed national legisnature,Increased powers of the Federal Governments.

    It's an agreement that large and small states reach during the Constitutional Convention during 1787 that in part explained the legislative and representation that each state would have under the United States Constitution.
  • Northwest Territory Act or Freedom Ordinance

    This Act was the Act that allowed new states into the union. Which makes the Northwest part of the America separated into each independent countries. It became a success under the Articles of Confederation.

    Ratified in June 21, 1788. There is seven articles in this constitution. The first 3 provides the separation of powers. The 4th and 6th tells about the relationship between the States. 5th talkes about the amending Constitution and 7th talkes about ratifying Constitution, which mean gets the permission of presenting this.
