    The Spanish Flu Pandemic was a new variant of the influenza virus that began in 1918-1919. This deadly virus affected every continent and was thought to be spread by soldiers coming home during WW1. The Spanish Flu has been estimated to cause around 50 million deaths.

Days later, many succumbed to radiation poisoning. Almost a week later Japan's Emperor announced surrender in World War ll.

He was a prominent leader in the civil rights movement known for his peaceful protests and his famous speech "I Have a Dream". On April 4, 1963, he was shot and killed from his hotel balcony. This event resulted in many cities rioting and caused violence.

They stole top secret documents and tapped their phones. This led to the discovery of multiple abuses of power by the Nixon administration and ultimately lead Nixon to be the first ever president to resign.

    9/11 were planned attacks against the United States of America. On September 11, 2001 an attack was coordinated by an Islamic group, al Qaeda, which was founded by Osama Bin Laden. The terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes and flew two of the planes into the World Trade Center in New York City, demolishing them. Another was flown into the Pentagon and the fourth plane landed in Pennsylvania. About 3,000 people were killed in these attacks.
