    On July 28, 1914, the association of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Hungary in Sarajevo started WW1. The murder started a series of events and tensions of political and military rivalries among Europe's powers. On November 11, 1918, the allies and Germans signed an armistice officially bringing an end to the war.
  • Great Depression: 1929-1941

    The Wall Street Crash of 1929 served as a turning point when stock values crashed, causing widespread fear and the loss of assets. It became worse when the collapse of the financial system, a decrease in consumer spending. It changed by having a long-lasting impact on economic policies and having a long-lasting impact on social systems.

    World War 2: 1939-1945

    When Germany was led by Adolf Hitler, it invaded Poland in 1939, and Britain and France declared war on Germany. After the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the war came to an end in 1945 with the surrender of Germany in May and Japan in September. It ended a terrible global war.

    In 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea with the support of the Soviet Union and China. The Korean demilitarized Zine was established and the border along the 38th parallel was restored as a part of an armistice that solidified between the North and South Korea that still exists today.

    African Americans and other groups fought for equal rights to end racial segregation and discrimination. It aimed to end institutional racism, obtain voting rights and equal treatment.

    Its cause was to abolish racial segregation. It overturned Plessy v. Ferguson ruling from 1986 and found that "separate but equal" facilities for black and white people were unlawful.

    From the late 1950's until the 1970's the U.S. and Soviet Union were involved in a cold war competition known as the Space Race. Sputnik 1 was launched by the Soviet Union in 1957 which initially started it. When NASA's Apollo 11 mission Safely landed astronauts Buzz aldrin and Neil Armstrong on the moon in 1969, it became known as the "Iconic Moment" bringing the Space Race to an end.

    The Vietnam War was from 1955-1975. South Vietnam's anti-communist government was opposed by the communist government of North Vietnam. It was backed by the U.S. and other Western allies as well as the Soviet Union and China. When Saigon fell in 1975, Vietnam was inited under communist rule, and the geopolitics of the area were significantly changed.

    President John F Kennedy was killed in 1963 while traveling in a motorcade. Lee Harvey Oswald fired shots from the sixth floor killing John F. Kennedy.

    The Fall of Berlin Wall

    Berlin Wall was a barrier between the communist Eastern Bloc and the democratic West, the wall separated the East and West Berlin since 1961. Miscommunication and a wave of pro-freedom and pro-unification demonstrations set off the incident which finally resulted in the opening of border crossings and the removal of the wall.
