    February 15, 1564:

    Galileo was born.
  • Mar 22, 1581

    1581:

    1581: Galileo entered University at Pisa to study Medicine.
  • 1584:

    He started to get interested in mathematics and Geometry.
  • 1589:

    He publishes a paper on the center of gravity in solids and is awarded a position at the University of Pisa.
  • 1592:

    Galileo is awarded the chair of mathematics at the University of Padua.
  • 1609:

    Galileo finds out about the recant invention, the telescope and is able to improve the magnification.
  • 1609-1610:

    He makes many new and different observations with his telescope E.G.
    The milky way is built up of many stars combined.
    The moon is not smooth as scientist's thought and it has a rough irregular shape.

    Jupiter has many small satellites.
  • 1611:

    He visits Rome to demonstrate the telescope.
  • February 1633:

    Galileo is eventually placed on trial and at his old age and he is under suspicion of "vehement suspicion of heresy," but is convicted of holding and teaching the Copernican belief. He is placed under house arrest for eight years until his death.
  • 1632-1633:

    It starts going bad and the pope, infuriated at the content of "Dialogo" placed him on trial after trial for thing after thing.
  • 1638:

    Galileo makes the discovery, months before he went completely blind, that the moon makes monthly wobbles on its axis, called liberations.
  • 1638:

    He dies from a long illness.
