This was a cause to the consequence of the French economy's continued fall as it was already suffering from the cost of the many battles King Louis XIV participated in and despite the warnings, King Louis XV still joined the 7 Years' War. I don't believe it had a -2 impact but more of a -1 as they did lose possibly one of their best kings and in return a king that wasn't as competent leading their economy down but at the time no one would've known.

This is where one of the major effects of the new king happens where as mentioned King Louis XV ignores the warnings he got and ended up joining this war that will eventually wreck France's declining economy. For this event, I would choose a -2 for this event as joining a war is quite a daring choice when your economy is struggling, whether you win or lose you will need to burn your resources, meaning that this choice directly led to the continued fall of France's economy.

Being one of the more important victories for France in the 7 years war, this battle ended up delaying the fall of French-owned parts of Canada, along with that it also boosted the morals of the French as before they were struggling in the wars as they lacked the financial support. Despite being a more important victory for France I still believe this event only gets a +1 as it does little to stop the inevitable loss as France simply could not support a war in their current state.

One of the most important battles in the 7 years war was only 15 minutes long, with the French losing the battle they decided to abandon Quebec losing control of their part of Canada. This battle is one of the main reasons France lost the war as the geographical importance of Quebec eventually led to their final attempts to capture Quebec being thwarted and France being forced to surrender, I believe this should be a strong -2 as this may be one of the direct causes to the loss of the war

This event, being an accumulation of the previous events, provided the largest impact and consequences as France lost the war and along with that, their ownership of many North American lands. Already in such a poor situation at the start of the war, this loss cost them the chance of climbing out of their economic hole, this event I believe this is truly a -3 event as it totally screwed France up economically and eventually led to the French Revolution to completely change France's future.
