    Rape of Nanking
    During this time the Japanese would raid Nanking due to the resources they had. The Japanese took over Nanking for a while, the people suffered from beatings, rape, death. For women it was more of a scaring experience, the women of Nanking would be used for the japanese soldiers pleasure once the little lust of experience was over they would either
    be used again or just executed and left on the streets or in a massivr grave. As for men they would be used basically as practice dummies.
  • German blitzkrieg

    German blitzkrieg
    British bombers raid Hamburg, Germany, by night, while Americans bomb it by day in it's own "Blitz Week." The evening of July 24th, the British dropped 2,300 tons of incendiary bombs om Hamburg in just a few hours. The British lost just 12 out of 791 air crafts, all thanks to a new radar-jamming device called "Window," which were strips of aluminum foil dropped by the bombers en route to their target. The purpose of it was to lift the morale of the British, and it had a huge effect on Hitler.

    This was a war on which Germany army was forced to fight a two front war against a pact owning highly superior resources. During the beginning of Barbarossa Germany bit deep into Soviet Union territory. They eventually had a turning point where they made a mistake which was going as conquerors, not as liberators. A year after in the month of march all operations came to a stop, eventually operation barbarossa failed.

    This was the day the U.S was "surprisingly attacked" by the Japanese. According to the Japanese had attacked the Pearl Harbor with about 350 airplanes sent from about 6 aircraft carriers. The attack destroyed about 20 American naval vessels, 8 enormous battle ships, 200 airplanes, 2,000 american soldiers and sailors passed, 1,000 left wounded. The day after President Roosevelt declared war on the Japanese, it was approved by congress but one vote didnt let them go to war.

    January 20, 1942, 15 high-ranking Nazi Party and German government officials gathered at a villa in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee to discuss and coordinate the implementation of what they called the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question." The conference was called in order to discuss matters on how to get rid of the European Jews. The plan was to vsend weak and old Jews to extermination camps and strong young Jews to labor camps, in which they would still die.

    This battle was more of the U.S against the Japanese which came out to be unfair for the U.S soldiers, the war became some what of a turning point. The effect it had was that it was an only carrier battle which U.S lost about 41,000 tons of carriers and the Japanese lost about 11,000 tons of their carriers. The reason for this Coral Sea battle was due to the fact the Japanese wanted to invade Port Morsey, New Guinea which had an advantage of the Japanese having more control on their carriers

    German forces first tried this tactic on Poland in 1939, before successfully using this strategy with invasions against Belgium, the Netherlands, and France in 1940. Blitzkrieg is actually a term for "lightning war," in which were quick surprise attacks that saved the use of troops and limited artillery. The military tactic was used in order to win quick front battles and save troops and ammunition for more important battles.

    Okinawa was one of the biggest and last of the pacific island battles of WWII. Okinawa became one of the most bloodiest fights of the war leaving many u.s soldiers injured and dead. There was 3 lines of defenses Japanese had in Okinawa which had the u.s army at a point where they had to fight their way or die. According the article Okinawa started due to the fact the U.S army needed it for the planned invasion of Japan.

    During the war the U.s became the first to drop an atomic bomb. Hiroshima is where the bomb dropped which killed almost or 80,000+ people. The reason of the HIroshima bombing or just dropping bombs, was due to the fact the bomb was ordered from president Harry S. Truman. President Harry S. Truman ordered the bombing during the war due to the fact he thought it would speed up the process and end the war faster.
